How to delete your ContentIn account

You can delete your account yourself, from the web app or from the Take app, in under a minute. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

Jump to:

ContentIn web app

  1. Sign in at app.contentin.io.
  2. Open Settings from the main navigation.
  3. Scroll down to the Account section and click Delete Account.
  4. Confirm the prompt.

What happens:

  • Your profile, posts, ideas, voice and strategy data, uploaded media and your LinkedIn connection are deleted from our servers, and you are signed out.
  • An active Stripe subscription or trial is cancelled at the same time, so you will not be charged again. Nothing else is needed.
  • Posts you have already published on LinkedIn stay on LinkedIn. They live in your LinkedIn account, not ours, so delete them there if you want them gone.

If you are a client managed by an agency on ContentIn, the Delete Account button is not shown; ask your agency or email us.

iOS (Take app)

  1. Open Take and tap the Settings gear on the Create tab.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
  3. Confirm.

This deletes your account and its data on our servers, the same as deleting from the web app.

Your App Store subscription is separate. Deleting the account does not cancel a subscription bought through Apple. Cancel it on your iPhone under Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions, or at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Best to cancel it before you delete the account.

Android (Take app)

  1. Open Take and tap the Settings gear on the Create tab.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
  3. Confirm.

Your Google Play subscription is separate. Deleting the account does not cancel a subscription bought through Google Play. Cancel it in the Play Store app under Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, or at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. Best to cancel it before you delete the account.

If you no longer have access

If you cannot sign in, have lost the device, or have already uninstalled the app, email [email protected]from the email address the account was registered with and ask us to delete it. We will confirm and delete the account within 30 days.

What we keep

After deletion we retain only:

  • Invoices and accounting records for paid subscriptions, for as long as tax and accounting law requires us to keep them.
  • Anonymised usage statistics that cannot be linked back to you.

Everything else tied to your account is removed. For details on how we handle personal data, see our privacy policy; for the rules of the service, see the Terms of Service.
