Terms of Service

The plain-language rules for using ContentIn and the Take app.

Last updated: 2026-11-06

These terms are a contract between you and ContentIn LLC. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use ContentIn. We have written them to be readable rather than exhaustive; where something is unclear, email us and we will explain.

1. Who we are

ContentIn is operated by ContentIn LLC ("ContentIn", "we", "us"). It is available as a web app at app.contentin.io and as the mobile app Take by ContentIn for iOS and Android. The mobile apps are distributed on the App Store and Google Play by an authorised agency on ContentIn's behalf; these terms apply to them in the same way, and ContentIn LLC remains responsible for the service.

You can reach us at [email protected].

2. The service

ContentIn helps you publish on LinkedIn. In particular it:

  • writes and edits LinkedIn posts with AI assistance, trained on your own writing, voice and strategy;
  • suggests ideas and plans your posting week;
  • schedules and publishes posts to your LinkedIn profile or page through LinkedIn's official API, with the access you grant;
  • in the Take app, captures voice notes and turns them into posts.

Some features depend on your plan, on a connected LinkedIn account, or on the device you use. We may add, change or retire features over time (see Availability and changes).

3. Accounts and eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use ContentIn.
  • One person per account. Do not share your login, and do not use someone else's account. Agency and team plans give each person their own seat.
  • Keep your password and any connected sign-in (Google, Apple) safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account until you tell us it has been compromised.
  • Give us accurate information and keep it up to date so we can reach you about your account and billing.

4. Your content and your LinkedIn account

You own what you say and what you post. The notes, voice recordings, imported posts, drafts and published posts you bring to ContentIn stay yours.

To run the service we need permission to handle that content: to store it, analyse it, train your personal voice model on it, generate drafts from it, and send it to LinkedIn when you ask us to. You grant us that permission for as long as you use the service, and only for the purpose of providing it to you. We do not use your content to train models for other users and we do not publish anything without your action.

You are responsible for what you publish. Everything that goes out under your name on LinkedIn, including AI-assisted drafts you approve, is your statement. Make sure you have the rights to any material you include and that it does not break the law or LinkedIn's rules.

LinkedIn's terms apply. Publishing through ContentIn is subject to the LinkedIn User Agreement and LinkedIn's professional community policies. ContentIn is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by LinkedIn. If LinkedIn changes or restricts its API, some features may stop working and we will tell you.

5. AI-generated output

ContentIn uses large language models to generate text, ideas and images from your input. This output:

  • is produced from what you give us and may contain mistakes, invented details or wording you would not choose;
  • must be reviewed by you before publishing: it is a draft, not advice, and not a statement of fact;
  • may resemble output generated for someone else when the inputs are similar, so we cannot promise it is unique;
  • comes with no guarantee of results. We do not promise reach, followers, engagement, leads or revenue.

You keep the rights in the output you publish, to the extent the law allows; we claim none.

6. Subscriptions and billing

Web app (app.contentin.io)

  • Paid plans are billed through Stripe, monthly or annually, in advance. Prices and what each plan includes are shown on our pricing page at the time you subscribe.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time under Settings → Manage Subscription; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you keep access until then.
  • If a payment fails we may retry it and, if it keeps failing, downgrade or pause your account.
  • Prices may change. We will tell you at least 30 days before a change applies to your plan, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

iOS (Take app)

Subscriptions bought inside the iOS app are sold and billed by Apple. Renewal, cancellation and refunds follow the App Store terms; manage them under Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions on your device, and request refunds from Apple. We cannot refund an Apple purchase ourselves.

Android (Take app)

Subscriptions bought inside the Android app are sold and billed by Google Play. Renewal, cancellation and refunds follow the Google Play Terms of Service; manage them in the Play Store app under Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, and request refunds from Google.

Free trials

Where we offer a free trial, its length and any payment details required are shown before you start. A trial converts to a paid subscription automatically when it ends unless you cancel before then. One trial per person.

Refunds

Fees are not refunded for partial billing periods, unused time or unused features, except where Apple, Google or applicable consumer law requires it. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal on digital services; by starting to use a paid plan immediately you agree that we begin providing the service during that period, and the right of withdrawal is lost once the service has been fully delivered for that period. Nothing in these terms limits any refund right you have under mandatory law.

7. Acceptable use

Do not use ContentIn to:

  • send spam, mass unsolicited messages or engagement-bait that breaks LinkedIn's rules;
  • impersonate another person or organisation, or post on an account you are not authorised to use;
  • scrape, harvest or republish other people's content or personal data beyond what they have made public and what the law allows;
  • create or publish content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, discriminatory, or that infringes someone else's rights;
  • probe, overload, reverse-engineer or circumvent the service, its rate limits, its billing, or its AI safeguards, or resell access to it without our written agreement.

We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

8. Availability and changes

We work hard to keep ContentIn running, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service. We depend on third parties (LinkedIn, AI model providers, payment processors, hosting) whose outages affect us too. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and we may update these terms. If a change materially reduces what you are paying for, we will tell you in advance by email or in the app, and you may cancel before it applies. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

9. Termination

By you. You can stop using ContentIn at any time and delete your account yourself, in the web app under Settings → Account → Delete Account or in the Take app under Settings → Delete account. Step-by-step instructions are on How to delete your account. Deleting your account removes your data from our servers; it does not cancel an Apple or Google Play subscription, which you cancel with the store.

By us. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if we are required to by law, or if you have not paid. Where it is reasonable to do so we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem. If we close your account for reasons other than a breach, we will refund any prepaid fees for the unused period.

10. Warranty disclaimer and limits of liability

ContentIn is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties about its accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose or the results you will get from it.

To the extent permitted by law, ContentIn LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost followers or reach, lost data, or damage caused by content you chose to publish; and our total liability to you for all claims arising from the service in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in that period.

These limits do not apply to liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for intent or gross negligence, or to any other liability that cannot be limited under the law of the country where you live. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms takes away the rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence.

11. Privacy

How we collect and use personal data is described in our privacy policy and cookie policy, which form part of these terms.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The state and federal courts located in Delaware have jurisdiction over disputes, except that consumers may also rely on the mandatory consumer law and the courts of the country where they live. Before going to court, please email us; most problems can be sorted out directly.

13. General

  • If a part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
  • We may transfer these terms to a successor business that takes over the service; you may not transfer your account to someone else.
  • If we do not enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later.
  • These terms, the privacy policy and the plan description you subscribed to are the whole agreement between you and ContentIn LLC.
